His expertise in wines of the South (and the world) is displayed somewhere almost daily in his popular columns about wines that appear throughout the country.
Southern food and our food heritage will be prominently featured in Wines Down South and Doc's knowledge and passion for this will attract a large audience of people who will become more interested in visiting all the wonders we will broadcast through our online magazine. With Doc's knowledge and love of the South appearing on our pages, we have much to offer that is interesting and productive, for readers and advertisers alike. |

Lynne Brandon - Senior Staff Writer
Lynne Brandon lives in Greensboro, North Carolina and is a veteran journalist and former editor. Lynne has produced popular stories about a multitude of people from foreign heads of state and television celebrities to legendary chefs, organic farmers and winemakers. Lynne has a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and will travel the South for original stories about our people and places.

After years of traveling this Southern region I am using my marketing experience to help those who love travel to enjoy all the richness and history the South has to offer. From it’s mountains, vineyards, food, and historic sites to it’s unique culture.
We are in a region of the South with the beautiful Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains and a rich history. So many stories to tell, so many places to visit and enjoy. With the vast experience, knowledge, and first hand perspective of Doc Lawrence, and my extensive marketing experience in the southern region Wines Down South brings the best the South has to offer.

Being all about food, wine and design, Val is so excited to be part of the creative excellence that is ripening at Wines Down South. As an award winning graphic designer, she brings a depth of beauty to the WDS site rarely seen on commercial web sites. Viewers will feel an invitation to visit then linger as a rich palate of color and pleasing design combine with the visually expressive text of Doc Lawrence.
From the drawing board to the digital age, Val is a skilled designer with over 25 years of experience. Print is her specialty but good design is “first nature” with her. The desire to create eye candy along with an attention to detail make Val an important asset to all WDS advertisers.

Stephen W. Cannon - Web & Interactive Programming
Stephen brings multiple skills to Wines Down South. His skills include database design, web programming, multimedia programming and video production for internet delivery. He was a founding partner at CyBiz Partners, a multimedia and digital media design firm serving the financial industry. His clients included Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, Credit Swiss, Invesco, PFM Capital and other notable financial institutions.
He served as the principle consultant for business affairs and marketing at the former Lodge at Tallulah Falls and shares a passion for the food, hospitality and wine industries.
Stephen is authoring a multimedia CD eBook about the wineries, lodging, dining, and outdoor actives available in the northeast Georgia Mountains. Wines Down South provides the perfect venue to utilize his passion and skills for the benefit of our readers and advertisers alike. |
